Ian Blake graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2004. In 2007 he became one of only 25 board certified orthopaedic specialists in the state of Oklahoma. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, Ian practiced as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the area of orthopaedics for 5 years.
Ian specializes in all areas of orthopaedics, including spinal dysfunction, post-operative rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, orthotic fabrication, work-related injury, and degenerative joint disease.
He is trained in a variety of techniques including soft tissue mobilization, specialized exercise prescription for treatment of movement impairments, Postural Restoration©, and the Graston Technique©.
Ian has also completed advanced clinical training in the use of high speed video to diagnose movement dysfunction and to determine readiness for return to sport. This technology is also used to assess running form and sports-related movements that are causing pain.
He teaches running clinics for all skill levels and has been a clinical instructor for the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Community College, and Texas Women’s University. He is an active member of the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
